  • Account information: Your name, email address, and phone number when you register.
  • Profile data: Your native language, confidence level, learning goals.
  • Usage data: Lessons completed, speaking session durations, progress scores.
  • Voice data: Audio from speaking sessions is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently.
  • Payment data: Handled entirely by PayU. We do not store card details.
  • Device & log data: Browser type, IP address, and usage logs for performance monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the English Aunty service
  • To track your learning progress and personalise lessons
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send transactional emails (account, receipts)
  • To analyse usage patterns and fix bugs

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • Supabase – authentication and database hosting
  • OpenAI – AI voice processing (subject to OpenAI's privacy policy)
  • PayU – payment processing
  • Twilio – SMS OTP delivery

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@studiomesmer.com. Voice session transcripts are retained for 90 days for quality improvement purposes.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment data is handled by PayU's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.

7. Your Rights

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
